Hector Urbina
15 State (A)
Hector played for 4 years at Croom’s Academy in Sanford, Florida where he trained as a setter. He was captain of the team his senior year. This is where he gained his love for the game.
He started his coaching career as a soccer coach a year after graduating high school and transitioned to coaching volleyball in 2021. He started coaching at the high school level and is currently the head coach for both girls and boys at Croom’s academy and began coaching at Game Point in 2022.
When asked why he coaches: I coach to not only help athletes achieve their goals or to help them reach their potentials, but to also guide them into being a more well-rounded individual before branching out into the adult world. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!
