Yamir Marrero
Yamir Marrero has dedicated most of her career to volleyball. She received a scholarship to play volleyball for a prestigious university in Puerto Rico. After graduating with a degree in Spanish, she signed a contract to play in the 'Puertorriquena' League for several years. Coach Marrero developed her passion for coaching by volunteering her time at volleyball clinics and providing free volleyball lessons to youths. From 1998-2004 (6 years), she played in the Puerto Rican Volleyball league, representing teams from Barranquitas, Cayey, and Guayama. From 2003-2005 (2 years), she represented the Puerto Rican Volleyball Confederation.
From 1999-2004 (4 years), she played in the LAI with UPR Cayey.
From 2014-2016, she worked as a Men's Volleyball Coach at the Specialized Higher School of Arts and Sports in Barranquitas, PR, which is part of the PR Department of Education.
In 2018-2019, she coached Tainas Volleyball Club's 10U category.
From 2019-2021, she coached at the Momentum Volleyball Academy in the 11U and 12U categories.
From 2019-2022, she worked as the JV and Varsity Volleyball Coach at Central Pointe Christian Academy, where she also served as the Volleyball coordinator.
Since 2022, she has been working as the JV and Varsity Volleyball Coach at Victory Charter Schools.
