Steven Nguyen
Steve started playing volleyball back in high school and was a 3-year varsity starter throughout his high school career. During that time, he also played for clubs such as SJVBC and Warren Six Pack. He’s earned numerous awards, including 2nd team all-county, 2nd team all-state, SJ defensive player of the week, 1st team all South Jersey, 1st team all defense, and by his senior year he was invited to the all-state all-star game. During his junior and senior seasons, he led the Braves in aces and digs while helping lead the Braves to consecutive state semifinals appearances.
After graduating, Steve received a scholarship to go play at Stevenson University as a libero. Steve led the team in digs and multiple conference championships during his time with the Mustangs.
Steve returned as a volunteer coach to help assist his former hs coach with the girls program. During that time, the girls program won 3 consecutive conference titles and 2 state titles. Steve has assisted with summer training camps for Villanova University, Temple University, Rutgers University, and Seton Hall University.
In 2013, Steve started coaching club volleyball for Synergy, RLVBC, and East Coast Power as a head coach or an assistant. After moving to Florida in 2022, Steve joined Game Point during the 2022-23 season. During the 23-24 season, he was the assistant for 18 Rox and 17 elite. During 2024-25 season, Steve is assisting with 13 state and HC for 16 elite
